Starting out in her younger teenage years, Zhana began sewing her own clothing for fun. At school in Russia, after her classmates would see her fashion creations, they would begin asking her to make various clothing for them. Soon after that, you would not be able to walk down the school courtyard without seeing everyone wearing fashions by Zhana! Thus began her career in fashion. In order to perfect her skills and get higher education, she obtained a University degree in her field. Soon thereafter, Zhana began to sew her own creations from custom-made bridal dresses to casual wear.

After moving to the United States, she worked at Escada in their New York City location for 11 years. She worked with celebrities, such as Karina Smirnoff, Jennifer Aniston, Queen Latifah, Mercedes Bass, Princess of South Africa, Queen of Spain, etc. It was always her dream to open her own place. In the early Spring of 2011, Zhana opened up her current location, AZ Elite Couture at Forest Hills, where she has been ever since. For every individual she aims to provide custom dresses and alternations from wedding dresses to casual wear. She has an eye for perfection and wants every individual to have the dress she has always dreamed of.
